Line of Junction Notice
Section 1 applies where a new wall will be built on the boundary line.
The proposed wall may be built astride two lands or it may only be built wholly on building owners land.
This type of Notice is typically required in Residential Rear Extension building works and Side Extension building works.

Party Structure Notice
Section 3 applies where work may take place to existing walls which may belong to two or more owners.
For Example, where to underpin, raise, repair, demolish, cut into, cutaway, insert flashing may take place on existing party wall under the Act.
This type of Notice is typically required for Loft Conversions and where Rear Extension may be built butting up to already built, adjoining owner's Rear Extension.
Excavation & Construction Notice
Section 6 applies where excavation may take place within 3 or 6 metres of the adjoining property AND the building owners propose to go lower than the existing foundations of structures or buildings which may belong to any adjoining owner.
This type of Notice is typically required for Residential Rear Extension building works and works where a new wall may be built within 3 or 6 metres of neighbouring property.

BUILDING OWNER'S APPOINTMENT LETTER
Use this template where you wish to use our firm's Surveyor for your Party Wall matters and dispute.
This type of form is used when you are the building owner and you will be carrying out the building works.
ADJOINING OWNER'S APPOINTMENT LETTER
We can represent you as an Adjoining Owner's Surveyor.
Use this form to appoint us for any adjoining owner disputes where you are affected by the building works of your neighbour.
